Features

ETL Listed

All booths are fully ETL-listed at no extra charge to ease the permitting process.

Filtration

Exhaust filtration consists of fiberglass media for high-efficiency paint removal as air exits the booth.

Fans

Air is exhausted out by a belt-driven tubeaxial fan, designed with an aluminum bladed propeller for low noise levels.

Lighting

Booths come standard with LED tube lights, featuring an output of up to 10,000 lumens each. Fixtures are all inside-access and Class 1 Division 2 rated.

Construction

Booths are constructed from 18-ga galvanized steel. Panels come pre-punched for easy nut-and-bolt assembly. Full installation instructions and 3D modeling in SolidWorks.

Airflow Options

Cross Draft

Fresh unfiltered air is pulled in through the front of the booth and drawn horizontally to an exhaust plenum at the back. This ensures overspray is captured, airborne contaminants are quickly removed, and a high quality finish.

Equipment Options

Conveyor and Crane Slots

Integrate directly with your open-face booth, providing a seamless way to move heavy items in and out. This means less manual labor and more time for painting, boosting your productivity and efficiency.

Powder Coated Finish

Our booths can be powder coated for a durable, corrosion-resistant finish that’s easy to clean and built to last in demanding environments.

Seismic & Structural Engineering

Optional seismic and structural engineering is available to ensure your booth meets local building codes and site-specific requirements.

Air Makeup Units

Air Makeup Units supply fresh, heated air to maintain proper booth temperature for superior finish quality and operator comfort.

Filtration Options

Add multi-stage intake and exhaust filtration for cleaner airflow and better finish quality.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are open face spray booths a good choice for industrial finishing applications?

Yes. Open face spray booths are one of the most cost-effective and versatile finishing solutions available. They are commonly used for woodworking, cabinetry, furniture, metal fabrication, composites, and industrial manufacturing applications where easy access, efficient airflow, and high productivity are priorities. California Pulse open face booths can be custom-engineered to fit virtually any workflow, product size, or facility layout.

What are the advantages of an open face spray booth compared to an enclosed booth?

The biggest advantage is accessibility. Open face spray booths allow operators to quickly load and unload products without navigating doors or enclosed spaces. This improves workflow efficiency, reduces handling time, and makes them ideal for shops processing large volumes of parts. For many manufacturers, an open face booth delivers the performance they need at a lower investment than a fully enclosed spray booth.

Can an open face spray booth provide professional-quality finishes?

Absolutely. Finish quality depends on proper airflow, filtration, lighting, and contamination control. California Pulse open face booths use engineered airflow systems, multi-stage filtration options, and high-output LED lighting to create a clean and controlled finishing environment. When properly matched to the application, an open face booth can consistently produce high-quality finishes while maintaining operational efficiency.

Can an open face booth be customized for my products and workflow?

Yes. Every operation is different, which is why California Pulse offers custom open face booth configurations. Booths can be designed around your product dimensions, production volume, conveyor systems, material handling equipment, airflow requirements, and facility constraints. Whether you're finishing furniture, fabricated metal parts, industrial equipment, or composite products, we can design a solution tailored to your operation.
