Industry: Automotive and Heavy Equipment Body Shop

Key Equipment : Large Equipment Spray Booth

Expanding Beyond Automotive

Paint Box LLC is an established body shop in Kapolei, Hawaii, known for high-quality automotive repair and refinishing. As demand across the island grew, the team identified an opportunity to expand beyond traditional auto body work and begin servicing commercial trucks and heavy equipment.

However, entering this market required more than additional floor space—it required a spray booth capable of handling oversized vehicles while maintaining consistent finish quality and safe operation.

“We typically handled auto body work, but we wanted to expand into painting big trucks and heavy equipment,” the team explained.

Finding the Right Partner

While researching finishing equipment online, Paint Box connected with California Pulse. From the initial conversations through quoting and design, the California Pulse team stood out for their technical knowledge, responsiveness, and willingness to guide the process.

“We found you guys on the internet, and from the beginning the staff was very knowledgeable on the equipment,” Paint Box shared. “They were so helpful and nice throughout the quoting and initial design that we decided to go with them.”

A Professional, Well-Executed Installation

Throughout planning, manufacturing, and delivery, professionalism remained a defining part of the experience. The booth was constructed with a clear focus on quality and durability, and California Pulse remained engaged to ensure the system was fully operational.

“The professionalism is what we like most,” the team said. “The quality of the booth construction stood out, and we appreciated the commitment to making sure everything was up and running.”

A New Market, A Competitive Advantage

With the large equipment spray booth now installed, Paint Box has positioned itself as the only shop on the island capable of painting oversized trucks and heavy equipment. This capability opens the door to customers and contracts that were previously out of reach.

“This will have a huge impact on our business,” Paint Box noted. “It allows us to capture a whole new market and greatly increases our revenue potential.”

Looking Ahead

Paint Box plans to load all oversized equipment into the new spray booth, using its size and performance as a key differentiator in the local market. As demand for commercial and heavy equipment finishing grows across Hawaii, the booth provides a long-term foundation for expansion.

Because of its capacity and build, Paint Box is uniquely positioned to serve industries that previously had limited options on the island—turning a strategic equipment investment into a lasting competitive edge.
