What you are spraying

The coating and the part together set much of the specification.

Solvent-borne coatings, waterborne coatings, high solids, and powder each behave differently and place different demands on airflow, filtration, drying, and curing. A shop running a fast solvent primer has a different exhaust and cure requirement than one applying a waterborne topcoat that needs controlled temperature and humidity.
